Philosophy:

The Mary Bhore Nursing School acknowledges the distinctive role of nurses in aiding individuals, whether sick or well, in performing activities essential to health maintenance, recovery, or achieving a peaceful death. Nurses facilitate these tasks with the aim of promoting independence, assisting individuals to regain autonomy as swiftly as possible.

With this principle at its core, the school views the basic nursing course as a formal educational foundation. This program not only establishes the groundwork for nursing practice but also serves as a springboard for further professional development. The school holds itself accountable to society for nurturing students' growth as individuals, nurses, and responsible citizens.

The school firmly believes that the fundamental nursing curriculum should equip nurses for entry-level positions in both hospital and community settings. To achieve this goal, the school emphasizes the importance of a solid grasp of basic scientific principles. Nursing, being inherently influenced by scientific and technological advancements, necessitates a strong foundation in these areas.

Furthermore, the school underscores the significance of clinical and fieldwork experiences in fostering robust nurse-client relationships. It advocates for a substantial portion of students' learning to take place in these practical settings.

Recognizing nursing as a profession interdependent on allied professions and occupations, the school emphasizes collaboration in promoting, restoring, and maintaining health while preventing diseases.

Finally, the school emphasizes the cultivation of deep pride in the nursing profession among students, recognizing it as vital for fostering further professional growth.
